Full attention has been paid to the protection of environment in recent period, thus integrated and organic cultivation methods are becoming more important in fruit production. Highly susceptible genotypes need intensive plant protection and their fruits can not rich standard quality in organic production. Growing resistant/tolerant apple, pear and sour cherry genotypes with fewer pesticides can be an alternative. Therefore resistant/tolerant genotypes are more suitable for such methods of production. At Fruit Research Institute - Cacak a considerable number of apple, pear and sour cherry cultivars and selections are evaluated whereby particular attention is devoted to their fruit quality and resistance properties. Thus, we contribute to the selection of cultivars for integrated and organic production methods, and this information will be useful for designing crosses within resistance breeding in the future. The paper presents biological and pomological properties of newly singled out ...apple, pear and sour cherry selections resistant to economically important diseases. Conventional breeding methods were used for obtaining 3 promising apple selections and 4 promising sour cherry hybrids. 2 resistant autochthonous pear cultivars were singled out from natural populations.
