The assortment of plums in Serbia is dominated by indigenous varieties (Pozegaca, Crvena ranka etc.), Stanley and cultivars named and released at Fruit Research Institute - Cacak (Cacanska rodna, Cacanska lepotica, Cacanska rana and Cacanska najbolja). In order to meet different market needs and achieve the best possible results in modern commercial production, it is necessary to introduce new varieties. Previously, newly introduced varieties require some investigations under certain conditions. The basic objective of this paper was to determine the productive traits of five plum varieties under the environmental contitions of Cacak (Western Serbia). The investigations were carried out at the locality Preljinsko brdo near Cacak with following cultivars: Opal, Victoria, Hanita, Jubileum and Valor. All cultivars were grafted on St. Julian A rootstock. Fruit mass (g), yield per tree (kg) and yield per unit area (kg ha(-1)) were analysed. The highest and the lowest fruit mass were recorded... with Jubileum and Opal. The highest yield per tree and per unit area was determined in the Opal and Hanita. The lowest yield per tree and unit area was registered with Jubileum.
